We launched the sixth wind farm in Poland

We launched a new wind farm with a capacity of 18 MW in the Rychwał commune. Thus, we have strengthened our position as an independent producer of energy from renewable sources. The investment was created with the support of a consortium of banks and mezzanine financing. The operating capacity of our assets in Poland has reached 245 MW and will exceed 300 MW by the end of the year.

The investment in Rychwał is a total of six wind turbines with a nominal power of 3.0 MW each. Annually, the farm will generate 60 GWh of energy, which will supply electricity to nearly 30,000 households a year.

The wind farm in Rychwał enters the operational phase, and after more than two years of postponing the investment process, we can announce another success of Qair in Poland. This is an extremely important event for our organization and the success of all our employees. Step by step, we are strengthening our position on the RES market in Poland, where in a few years we have built a repeatable business with the mission of a prudent energy transformation. In the last four years, we have completed over 60 wind and photovoltaic projects. We have more in the works and a lot of work ahead of us. I would like to thank the employees of Qair Polska for their contribution to this dynamic development. – says Krzysztof Wojtysiak, CEO of Qair Polska.

Qair Polska started construction of the wind farm in 2021. The investment was financed with the support of a consortium of banks: Santander Bank Polska, BNP Paribas and PKO BP, as well as mezzanine financing from a fund managed by Brookfield Asset Management. Nordex is the supplier of the wind turbines. The project received an environmental impact assessment, as part of which biodiversity studies were carried out.
