The wind farm in Olszówka joins the operating assets of Qair Polska

Qair Polska launches its seventh wind farm. The investment with a capacity of 12.8 MW is located in Olszówka, in the province of Greater Poland. Less than two years after the commencement of design work, electricity will flow from the wind park, which could meet the energy needs of approximately 24,000 households. Currently, Qair Polska owns and operates 258 MW of installed operational capacity in wind and photovoltaic farms.

The Wind Park in Olszówka will generate 43 GWh of electricity per year. The investment includes Vestas wind turbines: four with a capacity of 2.2 MW and two with a capacity of 2 MW. The energy produced in Olszówka will enable the reduction of CO2 emissions by approximately 33.7 thousand tonnes per year.

The farm in Olszówka is the second wind investment that we have commissioned in recent months. Poland deserves even more cheap electricity from RES and what’s more, it can have it. Everyone who feels the inconvenience of rising energy prices, both businesses and individuals, is waiting for it. In the coming months, we plan to complete the construction of four more wind investments and ten photovoltaic projects, which will increase our operating volume to almost 400 MW. – says Krzysztof Wojtysiak, CEO of Qair Polska.

By the end of 2022, Qair Polska plans to launch wind farms in Wądroże Wielki and Wisznice. In 2023, investments with a total capacity of 82 MW will enter the operational phase, including in Stawiszyn and Widuchowa, and an over 80-hectare photovoltaic farm in Kalisz Pomorski along with nine smaller PV farms located in Lower Silesia and Wielkopolska. At the same time, Qair Polska is negotiating contracts for the construction of 3 photovoltaic farms with a total capacity of 120 MW, the implementation of which will end at the end of next year. The company will then reach a very important stage of development, i.e. 0.5 GW of installed capacity in Poland.
